The Robert M. Bird Health Sciences Library contains a collection of over 243,000 books, journals, audiovisuals and electronic resources. It is responsible for the informational materials and services that are needed to support the research and educational programs on the OUHSC campus and serves as the major resource for health information in Oklahoma. Library faculty and staff are exceptional in providing individualized service to both students and faculty. When a student needs materials not available in the Library, they may be borrowed from Interlibrary Loan. The Library is a member of several networks designed to expedite the transfer of information between libraries in an effective manner. The library also provides orientation tours, course-related bibliographic instruction and seminars on using various research tools.
